Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, 7 pm at MalamaDoe, Suite 110 – Screen Time: How Much is Too Much? Moderated by Sheila Long. Event Description: Technology helps us get our work done but how does it affect our soft skills, critical thinking and problem solving? Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, 7 pm at MalamaDoe Suite 110 – Transforming Communities Through Technology. Moderated by Anjum Alden. How is technology transforming communities, and what are the possibilities for the future? This panel will explore technology’s impact on municipal governance, social change, and health and wellbeing. Panelists include Shorewood Village Board President Ann McKaig; Carmen Pitre, director of Sojourner, Wisconsin’s largest service provider for families experiencing domestic violence; and Liz Kohler, CEO of Nexion Solutions and creator of an innovative technological solution to help protect domestic violence victims and others.
