I firmly believe that for change to take place, we need to help one another. If we want women to move forward in the work place, to be kinder to other women, to treat each other with dignity, respect, and encouragement – then change starts with us.
I believe in the power of community and the power of helping your neighbor.
I started my business, MalamaDoe – A Coworking Community for Women, to help women help other women develop professionally. With the adequate connections in a welcoming and supportive community, we connect women at MalamaDoe. And with the resulting synergies, we build community, help society, and flourish. I see it happen every single day.
For my business to continue to grow and to help women flourish, I need for us to voice that women matter. That women should be supported, cheered on and celebrated.
To grow my business and to grow the community of supportive women, I am part of micro lending initiative called crowdfunding. With crowdfunding, everyone loans a little bit, and with the community of support, small businesses and important causes are able to grow.
MalamaDoe is crowdfunding a 0% interest loan on Kiva. The money form the loan, if my full amount is raised, will be dispersed on Paypal and automatically deducted from the same Paypal account monthly to the lenders. As 98% of Kiva loans are repaid, it is an easy way to help grow causes that matter to you.
So please make a statement about women, and how supporting women matters to you, and lend as little as $25 (which you will get back!) for my Kiva loan. Please follow this link to my profile page . where you will learn more about my business (I had to make a video) and you can sign up for the loan. Following this link is the only way your loan will be tracked as coming through me.
The funds from this loan will go towards infrastructure of a laptop, whiteboard paint, electrical outlets, tables, printer and advertising more role models to speak to the community.
Kiva, by the way, is the first and largest micro-lending service in the world that has distributed $1 billion over 10 years, in 86 different countries, among 1.5 million small businesses. It is a cool thing to be a part of! You can even give Kiva credit to someone for a Holiday gift!
Thanks for your support, I am honestly so grateful! I sincerely appreciate your support!
